For over 90 years, Kawai continues its commitment to building exceptional instruments that offer the most satisfying piano-playing experience through the blending of traditional processes and technical innovation. The new KDP120 digital piano is the latest addition to Kawai’s award-winning home digital instruments and an excellent introduction to Kawai’s digital piano quality.
Featuring Kawai’s Responsive Hammer Compact II (RHCII) keyboard action, the new KDP120 delivers a touch that feels and responds like an authentic acoustic grand piano action. In addition to its grade-weighted hammers, springless key mechanism, and sturdy construction, the RHCII keyboard action features Kawai’s latest triple-sensor key detection system for improved responsiveness. Among its selection of sounds is the Shigeru Kawai SK-EX concert grand piano. Through Kawai’s proprietary Harmonic Imaging technology, all 88 keys of the SK-EX were recorded, analyzed, and reproduced to deliver a rich and expressive playing experience. The KDP120 also features a new, improved Low Volume Balance feature for ideal expression when playing at low volume levels.
The KDP120 also comes equipped with Bluetooth MIDI technology allowing the instrument to connect with smart devices wirelessly for expanded functionality with many music applications, including Kawai’s Piano Remote and PiaBookPlayer apps. The instrument also features built-in music lessons, a song recorder, and a new modernized key cover appearance.
Offering an authentic feel, stunning sounds, modern design, and wireless connectivity, the KDP120 is an excellent introduction to Kawai digital piano quality at an attractive price.
